Shelia Mae (Sutton) Whitehead

Shelia Mae Sutton Whitehead was born August 27, 1955, to the late Shirley Jean Sutton and Ellen Mae Price Epperson in Taylor County, Kentucky. She departed this life Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital having attained the age of 66 years and 7 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. She was a Dietary Aid at Metzmyer, a caregiver, and Housekeeper at Medco. She enjoyed reading her bible, watching church services on Facebook, and enjoyed being with her family. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one granddaughter: Rosalynn Grace Puente.

She is survived by two daughters: Angela Dawn Cross Melson of Greensburg and Jessica Ryan Cross Acosta Puente of Columbia; a special niece: Tiara Danielle Epperson Trujillo of Greensburg; one half-sister: Melissa Dawn Epperson; grandchildren: Sasha Reynaga, Emily Reynaga, Isabella Acosta, Jayden Acosta, Arianna Acosta, Dustin Ray, Nathan Ray, Patiance Shirley, Perla Veliz, Ricardo Reynaga, Jr.;  six great-grandchildren; one stepdaughters: Shawna Whitehead; one step-son: Leslie Whitehead; seven step grandchildren; a special friend: Lois Shelton; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Shelia Mae Sutton Whitehead will be conducted 12 P.M., Central Time, Wednesday September 8, 2021, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Hollins with burial to follow in the Akin Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday and after 7 A.M., Central Time, Wednesday at the funeral home.
