James A. Arnett was born October 15, 1938, in Bartholomew County, Indiana to the late Nardicle John and Molly Scrougham Arnett. He departed this life Monday, April 11, 2022, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, having attained the age of eighty-three years, five months and twenty-six days.
He was a carpenter. He was united in marriage to Sally Miller Arnett, who preceded him in death. Besides his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by three sisters: Becky Smith, Darlene Stokes and JoAnn Gentry.
He is survived by one daughter and two sons: Sandra Arnett of Lebanon, Tennessee, Jimmy J. Arnett and his wife Ora of Liberty and Carly Joe Arnett of Campbellsville, one brother: Norman Earl Love of Arizona and one sister: Diane of Columbus, Indiana, four grandchildren: Amanda DeWitt, Christopher and Nicholas Olmstead and Cynthia Arnett, great grandchildren: Rylee Lynn DeWitt, Colton, Sadie and Jaxon Olmstead, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., Central Time, Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.
