Mrs. Carolyn Bagby Paxton was born March 6, 1940 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Lindle and Dimple Blankenship Bagby. She departed this life Friday February 19, 2021 at the Baptist Health Louisville Hospice in Louisville.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Presbyterian Church where she served as elder. She was a hairdresser for over 50 years and served on the Greensburg City Council for 6 years. She was united in marriage September 23, 1961 to Stewart Paxton who preceded her in death August 8, 1984. Besides her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by one brother: Jerry Bagby.
She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law: Dixie and Larry Bishop of Greensburg; one brother and sister-in-law: Junior and Becky Bagby of Columbia; one sister-in-law: Gwynean Bagby of Greensburg; a special friend: Janie Casey of Greensburg; Plus, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Carolyn Bagby Paxton will be conducted 1 p.m., Central Time, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Rev. Brad Palmer will be officiating.
A walk-through visitation will be from 10 a.m., Central Time, Wednesday, until the funeral hour.

The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Hosparus of Green River or to the Greensburg Presbyterian Church and these can be made at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
