Mrs. Juanita Parker McIntosh was born May 5, 1945 in Green County to the late Cecil and Florence Wright Parker. She departed this life Saturday, April 18, 2026 at her home having attained the age of eighty years, eleven months and thirteen days.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was an active member of New Water Missionary Baptist Church where she helped collect money for the youth choir. She was also on the Summersville Volunteer Fire Department Parade Committee for fifteen years serving alongside her husband, Jim. They were crowned Mr. and Mrs. Summersville at the Summersville Days Festival in 2024. She had a true heart for animals and loved her dogs and cats. She also loved the outdoors, loved to fish and loved to mow yards and did so for at least twenty years. She had a servant’s heart and even showed that in the work that she did.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers: Teddy Parker, Herman Parker, and Commanding Sergeant Major Donald Parker.
She is survived by her husband Jim, being wed for fifty-three years on December 26th; three children: Jennifer McIntosh Wynne of Trenton, Missouri; Jeff McIntosh and his wife Vicki; and Jessie Lincoln McIntosh all of Green County; a sister-in-law: Diana Shirley of Green County; four grandchildren: Mandi Burd, Melony Sharpe, David Anthony Summers, and Miranda Leigh McIntosh; seven great-grandchildren; plus a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Juanita McIntosh will be conducted at 12 NOON central time, Tuesday April 21, 2026 at New Water Missionary Baptist Church in the Hudgins Community of Green County officiated by Bro. Timmy Shirley and Bro. Gordon Berry. Visitation will be held Monday, April 20, 2026 from 5PM until 8PM central time at Foster Toler Curry Funeral Home. Beginning Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 7AM until 9AM at the funeral home and then at 10AM until time of the service at New Water Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Bennett Cemetery in the Gabe Community of Green County.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Gideon Bibles or Hosparus of Green River and those can be made at the funeral home.
