Florence Marie Jeffries

Florence Marie Jeffries was born September 24, 1938, in Green County, KY to the late John Walter and Annie Marie Walker Judd. She departed this life Friday, December 19, 2025, at Norton’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville, having attained the age of eighty-seven years, two months, and twenty-five days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Retired after working at different factories and for the Board of Education, she enjoyed listening to Elvis and Dolly Parton, reading her Harlequin books, sewing and playing bingo.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one son and two daughters: Ricky Neal Jeffries, Julia Ann Shuffett and Debbie Lynn Jeffries; one grandson: Michael Ray Shuffett; four brothers: Bill, Garland, Cecil and Jessie Judd; three sisters: Edna Pennington, Louise Whitlow, and Laverne Hamlett.

Survivors include: two sons and daughter in law: Christopher “Chris” Herbert Jeffries of Greensburg, Rodney Allen and Julita Jeffries of Campbellsville; one daughter and son in law: Karen Jean and David Perry of Falls of Rough, KY; one son in law: Ray Shuffett of Greensburg; one daughter in law: Ronda Jeffries of Muhlenberg County; fourteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; special friend: Tamera Bardin of Greensburg; plus, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Florence Marie Jeffries will be held on Monday December 22, 2025, at 1 PM Central Time at Foster Toler Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Twyman Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association Cemetery. Family has requested visitation Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 10 AM Central Time until 4 PM central time at Foster Toler Curry Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Family has requested donations be made to the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association Cemetery Fund and those can be made at the funeral home.
