Anita "Granny" Price

Anita “Granny” Price was born May 28, 1932, in Green County, KY to the late Farlon and Letha Marshall Price. She departed this life Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at her home in the Summersville Community of Green County, having attained the age of ninety-four years, three months and four days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of South Summersville Baptist Church. She retired from Fruit of the Loom after working there for 30 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed quilting and her flowers.

She united in marriage to Leonard Price, who preceded her in death May 18, 2006. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Ruby, grandson: Cody Puryear, brothers and sisters-in-law: Marshall (Monk) and Charolett Price and Gene and Louise Price.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters: Gordon and Robin Price, Todd Price, Phyllis and Louis Brady and Wendy and Otis Puryear, of Green County, nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Anita “Granny” Price will be 10:30 A.M. Eastern Time Saturday, September 5 at South Summersville Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. Eastern Time Friday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg and after 8:30 A.M. Eastern Time Saturday at the church.
